What Damage Can Be Repaired with Paintless Dent Removal?
Paintless dent removal is used to remove dings, dents, body creases, and hail damage from vehicles. It is an efficient repair method as long as the paint is not damaged. You may be surprised at the type of repairs that are possible. We urge you to send us pictures and bring your car by for a full assessment of options.
How is Paintless Dent Removal Performed?
Our process involves three primary steps:
1. Assess the damage
Where is the damage, how big is it, and is there access to the affected area?
- Is the panel Aluminum or steel?
- Is the affected area in a body line?
- Is there PPF over the paint?
- Are there multiple damage points on the same panel?
2. Access the dent
This often involves getting to the back side of the dent, which can sometimes lead to removing body panels, tail lights, or interior panels.
3. Restore the body to its original condition
Specialized tools are used to slowly massage the panel back to the original condition of the body.
How can dent repair affect your car’s resale value?
In traditional dent repair, body filler is used to fill in dents, which is then painted to match the color of the car. This may be detrimental to your car’s resale value if it is assessed with a paint meter. PDR does not use body filler or paint. The damaged area is the only part of the car that is worked on. There is no need to paint/blend other panels on harder colors.
